Photography is a powerful medium that captures moments, emotions, and narratives, giving voice to untold stories. This exhibition aims to shed light on the mental health experiences of marginalised communities. By showcasing a series of compelling photographs, we seek to foster awareness, empathy, and advocacy for the mental well-being of marginalized communities who often face systemic barriers to mental health care and support.
Marginalised groups include those affected by caste discrimination, gender inequality, disability, sexual identities frequently encounter significant obstacles in accessing quality mental health services. This initiative seeks to spotlight the wide-ranging disparities that impact these communities and highlight the urgent need to improve access to mental health care across all segments of society.
By bringing attention to the intersection of caste, gender, sexual orientation, and disability within the broader discourse on mental health, we aim to challenge stigma and advocate for a more inclusive and compassionate healthcare system. Addressing these structural inequalities is crucial for building a society where mental well-being is recognized as a fundamental right for all, not a privilege for a few. Ensuring equitable mental health support for everyone is a step toward a healthier, more just society. Last date to submit the photograph – 15/06/2025.
